Your mental state is like your mental weight. Some of you carry a heavy load but use social media to ignore the pressure. Instead of distracting yourself, seek out someone who will mentor you, preferably 15-20 years older, someone who has failed enough to teach you about the pitfalls of life. Find someone who offers truth, not just comfort.
My philosophy is simple: “Your Truth Is Not Always The Truth.” There’s a crucial difference between subjective truths and objective reality. Often, our mental state and life experiences distort what we believe is true. Many people turn to social media as an escape from real-world problems, creating a false reality where lies become “your truth” instead of the actual truth. Social media can be a distraction that masks deeper issues, allowing people to avoid facing hard truths.
This philosophy emphasizes the importance of seeking real understanding, not just reinforcing a potentially flawed narrative. Social programming through mass media influences how we perceive ourselves and our world, often leading to distorted views of reality. Platforms like TikTok reinforce personal biases instead of challenging them, creating a cycle of self-deception.
Breaking free from this requires finding a mentor who offers honest feedback and guidance, someone who challenges your perceptions and helps you navigate through the noise. This person must be grounded in reality, not easily swayed by social programming. They should help you see beyond “your truth” to the real truth.
Ultimately, embracing this philosophy requires self-awareness and an openness to difficult truths. Acknowledging your “mental weight” and seeking unbiased perspectives can lead to a clearer understanding of yourself. This process helps you navigate life with greater clarity, authenticity, and fulfillment.
